On Mother’s Day, Mom Wants to Go to Denver Flea!

I found a fresh new idea for the age-old “What to do on Mother’s Day” dilemma and I want to share it with you – Denver Flea!

Denver Flea calls itself a “curated showcase of Colorado makers, cocktails, and craft beer.” What’s not to love? Their Spring Flea takes place over Mother’s Day weekend (May 13 and 14) inside the iconic former Gart Sports Castle building at 1000 Broadway. Admission of $5 per person gets you access to 200+ vendors all in one place. No need to drive all over the state or search endlessly online for the perfect Mother’s Day gift (or indulgence for yourself).

Here are just a few of the vendors I plan to check out.

Their motto is: “Premium Goods at an Honest Price= More Money for Your Adventures.” That’s a pitch that’s hard for an outdoors lover like me to resist. My next camping or flyfishing adventure will probably include:

Yai’s Thai

“Never Settle for Bland” – the Yai’s Thai philosophy matches perfectly with mine! I’m looking foward to checking them out (and I hope they have samples!). I love exploring food from a variety of cultures. I like that all of their products are Whole30-compliant! (Here’s some info on the Whole30 eating plan if you’re interested in learning more.)  These are sounding particularly yummy:

What would Mother’s Day be without chocolate? Sad. Very sad. At least as far as I’m concerned! Their Origin bars let you experience chocolate made from cacao beans grown in places such as Belize, Guatemala, and Haiti. I’m eyeing their Inclusion bars, which combine chocolate with textural ingredient combinations such as peppermint mixed with cacao nibs; Mexican spice; espresso mixed with sea salt; and whiskey mixed with nibs.

It’s almost Mother’s Day, so you know I couldn’t make a list like this without at least one jewelry vendor! Lux and Luca is just one of more than a dozen you’ll be able to visit at Denver Flea. This vendor offers contemporary designs in a wide range of metals and stones – earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and even money clips and tie clips for guys. Here’s one I thought was particularly pretty:
